10:15 am - 10:30 am
10:30 am - 11:00 am
For Zero Trust initiatives to succeed, they must be accompanied by an eyes-wide-open rollout that recognizes the cultural impact on the organization, and ways to lead, educate and nurture the adoption process.
Takeaways:
11:00 am - 11:30 am
Threat hunting can help slash the delay between detection and response, so it's no surprise the bandwagon has picked up speed recently. How can CIOs ensure their organisation gets the real benefits of this approach, rather than fall prey to the hype? In this presentation, we'll look at five common myths about threat hunting, and also explore five future directions.
11:30 am - 11:50 am
The Zero Trust model of information security basically kicks to the curb the old castle-and-moat mentality that had organizations focused on defending their perimeters while assuming everything already inside didn't pose a threat and therefore was cleared for access. In this discussion, we will discuss how Zero trust can enable and even accelerate critical business and IT initiatives, from new customer engagement models to complete cloud migrations.
11:50 am - 12:10 pm
The initial emergence of the Zero Trust concept and model was from John Kindervag nearly a decade ago. Today, this initiative has become a guiding principle for industry. Join us for this session to understand the ZTX framework and how organizations can leverage these concepts and strategies.
12:10 pm - 12:30 pm
An IT executive's role, goals and objectives have drastically changed over the years. Most leaders supervise teams and units beyond their IT department. Due to these changes in responsibilities, their success is measured in greater business metrics. As a result, these roles have become both more attractive and more demanding.
Takeaways:
Changing perception of security function in development and delivery processes is a process itself. But for perception to change â?" security function must evolve itself. Application developer makes decisions around security aspects much more often than security officer.
Yet with most of security personnel originating from network and system security â?" how shifting security left can happen and gap between those two, often distinct groups can be bridged?
I want to share a couple of thoughts, ideas and lessons learnt from NN Poland journey until today.
12:30 pm - 12:50 pm
Companies have Zero Trust to be adequately protected. Time and again as malware keeps climbing, high security breaches occur and end user confidence suffers. It comes then as no surprise that some businesses have resorted to simply paying off cybercriminals. So how can companies be assured that, not if but when an attack occurs, that they are adequately protected?
12:50 pm - 1:10 pm
All organizations, regardless of size, are continuously evolving through modern technologies. Having an incident response plan and an effective cybersecurity strategy is not a luxury, but rather a requirement. Finally, security training for employees to improve their awareness is becoming the rule instead of the exception. Security is now establishing a permanent footprint within the software development lifecycle, with SecDevOps/DevSecOps processes to incorporate security at all layers of development.
Takeaways:
1:10 pm - 1:30 pm
With the fragmented new work-from-home world, the future world of connected devices, and 5G, the need to segment risks has never been more pertinent. There are many copycat methodologies, and everyone claiming to support it. Hear from the true source, John Jindervag, the founder of Zero Trust, about how Zero Trust Networks leads to a dramatically improved cybersecurity footprint at dramatically lower costs.
1:30 pm - 1:50 pm
The noise that no IT team wants to hear, and no exec team wants to talk about, is the Boom associated with a successful breach. Most products focus on either prevention (Left of, or before, Boom) or detection (Right of, or after, Boom), but lack the capability to integrate the two. In order to provide measurable and meaningful value, managed detection and response (MDR) has evolved to provide insight that improves protection in both areas, fulfilling the mission of decreasing both the likelihood and the impacts of successful attacks.
Join Jack Danahy, Alert Logic's SVP for Strategy and Chief Evangelist as he discusses MDR, and the security outcomes it delivers both Left, and Right, of Boom.
1:50 pm - 2:10 pm
Trust no one, harden AD, prevent attack paths, identify risk and monitor all changes across AD.
The need to protect, defend and respond to threats - regardless of where the employee, data, systems and applications sit - is more apparent than ever as we continue to work from home.
The Zero Trust model helps verify at every step that only trusted identities have access to systems, networks and data they are entitled to.
In this session, Andrew Hollister, Senior Director LogRhythm Labs & Security Advisor to the CSO, will outline the full benefits of implementing a Zero Trust model and how this approach can enhance cyber resilience.
